Present Tense - Präsens
| Mixed Verbs: The verb DENKEN (to think) is a so-called "mixed" verb, which means it has characteristics of both weak (regular) and strong (irregular) verbs. Its past tense forms dachte and gedacht have the -te and -t ending of a weak verb, plus a stem-vowel change (e-a) usually seen in strong verbs. It is regular in all its present tense forms. Other mixed verbs include: kennen, nennen, rennen. | |
